Wellness, IV Therapy & HRT
in Los Angeles

Separate IV services, hormone care, and weight-management programs when discussing credentials, assessment, and costs.

Educational guide · Updated October 30, 2026 · Not medically reviewed

Understand the treatment.

Wellness is an umbrella term in business listings. IV services, hormone care, and medical weight-management programs should each be discussed as a separate service with its own assessment, practitioner, and follow-up arrangements. A general wellness category or an appealing package name does not tell you whether a particular treatment is suitable for you.

Begin with the clinical purpose

Ask what concern the clinician is assessing, what evidence supports the proposed treatment, and what alternatives are available. Discuss your medications and medical history. Do not assume that promotional language about energy, balance, or vitality establishes a medical need or a likely benefit.

Identify the product and prescriber

For a proposed prescription or compounded product, ask for its exact name, ingredients, source, and prescriber. The FDA explains that compounded drugs are not FDA approved and it does not verify their safety, effectiveness, or quality before marketing. Ask why a compounded product is being considered for your circumstances.

Understand monitoring and recurring charges

Request details of any examination, testing, monitoring, refill arrangements, follow-up, and total recurring cost. For IV services, ask who orders and administers the infusion and what response is available for a reaction. For hormone or weight-management care, ask what changes would lead the clinician to adjust or stop treatment.

BRING THESE TO YOUR CONSULTATION

Questions worth asking.

  • Which specific service is proposed and for what purpose?
  • Who assesses me, prescribes, and provides follow-up?
  • What exact products are involved, and are any compounded?
  • What testing, monitoring, and recurring charges are included?

Budget for your actual plan.

This guide does not publish an estimated Los Angeles price range. Ask for a written quote specific to your proposed treatment, including consultation fees, products or device use, the number of visits, and follow-up. Confirm package and cancellation terms before paying.
